How to Deal with Jetlag...

There are apparently 6 primary steps to dealing successfully with jetlag according to Christopher Babayode from at NoJetStress.com.

STEP 1: Get grounded. When you get to where you are going, take off your shoes and walk around barefoot on the ground for 30 mins or so. When you fly your body is under huge stress, which causes a build up of toxins and makes your body acidic. The earth gives off negative electrons which help neutralise the toxins.

STEP 2: Melatonin regulates sleep. And it is created by darkness. So be aware that we are surrounded by so much artifical light - we need to reduce it slowly en route to bed to allow the hormone to kick in. No computer in bed in other words!

STEP 3: A lack of energy comes about from the environment on a plane - low oxygen and low moisture. Restoring this energy is as simple as becoming less acidic ie. increase your alkalinity. Some options include green juices, vegetables, supplements and meditation.

STEP 4: Use Caffeine intelligently. There are 3 better options for your body than coffee - Yerba mate, guarana and green tea. Use one of them instead of coffee as a tool to help you to acclimatise to local time.

STEP 5: Your body's biochemistry encourages or hinder your alertness by
reacting to the foods you eat or don't eat at certain times of day. Start your day with protein only and see the difference in your energy levels throughout the day.
